A wonderful benefit of working every day at a wetland is watching the birds that come to feed and nest on the water and in the woods.  Listed here are a few of the birds that have been identified throughout the year.  This list will get longer as we add new species.  Many are common, and a few are considered nuisance birds, but they are all part of the ecosystem and are a joy to watch.  You are invited to visit the wetland and do some birding of your own.  Please let us know which month you visit and the birds you identify, and we will add them to this list.
