Non-Profit Status
Earth Action Partnership, Inc. is incorporated in
the State of Ohio as a non-profit charitable organization under Section
501(c)3 of the IRS Code. EAP is also registered as a charity with
the Ohio Attorney General. We file an annual 990 Tax Return with the
Attorney General and pay a filing fee each year to maintain our non-profit
status.

Financial Accountability
Our fiscal year is from October 1 to
September 30 each year. When our revenue exceeds $25,000 in a fiscal year
our financial records are audited in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing
Standards by a Certified Public Accountant. Copies of our audit are
available to the public by contacting the EAP office.

Public Accountability
EAP is a charity funded entirely by
private contributions. We have a responsibility to our supporters to
operate using ethical business practices. We respect the faith placed in
us to use public contributions in support of our mission.

Board of Directors
The work of EAP is governed by an all-volunteer board of
directors. The people serving on the board actively support this program
and routinely volunteer at many of our projects. The board has the
responsibility of ensuring that our organization and programs are funded, that
we stay focused on our mission, and that our business conduct is professional
and thorough.

Program Staff
The office of EAP is located at our
Zoar Wetland Arboretum in Zoar Ohio and is open
year round. We have one volunteer staff person to organize and conduct all projects. This person also manages
the day to day operation of the office, including the payment of bills, filing
of tax returns, answering calls, and all other business related work to keep the
program functioning.
